Darin B. Brimhall, D.O.

Dr. Darin Brimhall is a board certified internal medicine physician that loves the art and practice of diagnostic medicine. Dr. Brimhall completed his undergraduate training at Brigham Young University graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics (1994). He then completed his medical school training at Des Moines University, College of Osteopathic Medicine (1998) followed by an internal medicine internship and residency at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri—an affiliate hospital of the St. Louis University Hospital system. Dr. Brimhall served as the Chief Resident during his final year of Residency (2001).
Dr. Brimhall is a diplomat (board certified) of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is board eligible for certification in the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and is active in clinical research, currently holding membership in the Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians & Investigators. Dr. Brimhall maintains an active medical license in Nevada where he practices in the Las Vegas Valley and is also a Major in the United State Air Force Reserve acting as an "Intensivist" for the 752 Medical Squadron out of March Air Reserve Base, Riverside, California.
Dr. Brimhall combines listening, objective evaluation and exceptional problem solving abilities with a compassionate and caring bedside manner. Dr. Brimhall utilizes a “paperless” office format, technologically advanced diagnostic medical equipment, and an electronic medical record system to enable practice of the most current evidence-based medicine. Combined with humor and excellent communication skills, Dr. Brimhall strives to keep his patients informed and involved in every aspect of their health care.

Sandra K. Hopper, CMA
Office Manager
Sandra has resided in the Las Vegas Valley since 1993, maintaining her certified medical assistant (CMA) status since 1995. Sandra’s health care experience has encompassed urgent care, pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, and adult medicine. Sandra has been a part of Desert Medical Consultants since its inception in 2004. Sandra works primarily in the “front office,” scheduling and confirming appointments, overseeing appropriate coding and billing, and supervising all patient telephone contacts and triage. Her smiling face will often be your first impression of our office.
Lori Katsanes, CMA
Patient Care Specialist
Lori has worked as a medical assistant since 1996 with additional training in medical aesthetics. Lori has worked with podiatry, pulmonology and adult medicine and has worked at Desert Medical Consultants since 2005. Lori is the practice’s Patient Care Specialist, arduously working as patient advocate while pursuing patient’s required pre-certifications, prior authorizations and prescription refills. Lori is an accomplished phlebotomist and prepares all patients for their physician evaluation. If blood is to be drawn, or a shot is required, Lori will become your newest intimate acquaintance.
